Go SAfari – Accreditation

It's the stuff that matters, when you really get down to it.

SAfari - Accreditation

Design your dream safari and we will help you make it a reality!

We are here to serve you to the best of our ability, and to this end know that you require some kind of indication that who you are dealing with has some kind of credibility. So, what really matters to you in a case like this?

GO SAfari is no fly-by-night company - we have been in operation since 1995 - and going strong. This is a stand-alone statement, right there.

What really matters

Besides being passionate about what we do at GO SAfari, we know that this is not always enough. So we have become members of the South African Tourism Services Association, SATSA, who govern the industry and make sure that there are standards and policies adhered to, which in turn converts to your peace of mind. Not only that, should you feel for whatever reason we have not lived up to our reputation or your expectations, you can always communicate this to them who in turn will straighten us out as members. Gladly, this has never happened to us (and we trust that it never will :-)

We are proud members of SATSA and Glen is on the Gauteng SATSA committee.

What is SATSA you may ask?

SATSA logo

In the inbound tourism industry in southern Africa, SATSA stands for:

  • CREDIBILITY
  • INTEGRITY
  • STABILITY

SATSA is a member-driven, non-profit association representing the private sector.

SATSA offers the inbound tourism industry unequalled opportunities for networking.

SATSA represents:

  • Transport providers
  • Tour Operators
  • Destination Management Companies
  • Accommodation Suppliers
  • Tourism Brokers
  • Adventure Tourism Providers
  • Business Tourism Providers
  • Tourism Services providers

SATSA members have to conform to the highest standards in the tourism industry, which are checked annually.

SATSA members are bonded, providing a financial guarantee of deposits held against the involuntary liquidation of a SATSA member.

The SATSA logo is a guarantee to travellers of quality in tourism, and is highly prized.

SATSA has a daily impact on tourism in Southern Africa through its lobbying activities.

Why Use a SATSA Member

Before being accredited, SATSA members must conform to a strict Code of Conduct, thus guaranteeing the highest standards of service and quality. SATSA member accreditation is checked annually.

SATSA members are Bonded with third party indemnity, ensuring financial peace of mind.

SATSA members offer a huge range of activities, accommodation and transport to meet all needs.

Tourism Marketing Levy South Africa

GO SAfari also contributes to the Tourism Marketing Levy South Africa (TOMSA) which is a private sector initiative, set up in 1998 to raise additional funds for the marketing of destination South Africa. As the appointed marketing agency for destination South Africa, South African Tourism (SAT) makes use of these funds to profile the country a preferred tourist destination, locally and internationally.

The marketing of destination South Africa has increased dramatically over the same period where SAT now actively promotes South Africa in twelve core markets around the world, USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Kenya, Nigeria, China, Japan, India and Australia.

TOMSA is administered by The Tourism Business Council of South Africa.
